Ford Fiesta: Handles, Locks, Latches and Entry Systems / Liftgate Latch. Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Remove the liftgate trim panel.
    Refer to: Liftgate Trim Panel (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
  1. Remove the liftgate latch.
    • Disconnect the liftgate latch electrical connector.
    • Remove the retainers and the liftgate latch.
      Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
