Adjustment

1. Position the gearshift in N position.
   

1. With the vehicle in N , position it on a hoist.
   Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).
   

1. Remove the shift cable access cover.
   

1. Unlock the adjuster.
   

1. Move the gearshift select cable back and forth and verify free motion.
   

1. NOTE: By placing the gearshift lever into the 4th gear position, it locks the small lever into the N position.

   Position the gearshifter in 4th gear.
   

1. Lock the adjuster.
   

1. 
   Install the shift cable access cover.
   
   1. Install the access hole cover.
      
   2. Install the gearshift housing assembly.
