Adjustment

  1. Position the gearshift in N and apply the P brake.
  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe.
    Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe (303-12B Intake Air Distribution and Filtering - 1.6L EcoBoost (132kW/180PS) – Sigma, Removal and Installation).
  1. Unlock the adjuster.
  1. Move the gearshift select cable back and forth and verify free motion.
  1. NOTE: By placing the gearshift lever into the 4th gear position, it locks the small lever into the N position.

    Position the gearshifter in 4th gear.
  1. Lock the adjuster.
  1. Install the air cleaner outlet pipe.
    Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe (303-12B Intake Air Distribution and Filtering - 1.6L EcoBoost (132kW/180PS) – Sigma, Removal and Installation).
  1. Release the parking brake.
