Removal

Vehicles with manual transmission

Remove the gearshift lever boot.
Refer to: Gearshift Lever Boot

Vehicles with automatic transmission

Remove the selector lever finish panel.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
-
Release the clips and remove the instrument panel lower trim panel. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
All vehicles
-
On both sides.
-
Remove the screw.
-
Release the clips and remove the floor console side trim panel.
If equipped
-
NOTE:
Automatic transmission shown, manual transmission similar.
Release the clips and remove the floor console upper trim panel. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

Disconnect the electrical connectors.
Console without armrest
-
Remove the screws and the floor console. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
Torque:
22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)
Console with armrest
-
Remove the screws, the bolts, disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the floor console.
Torque:
22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)
Installation
-
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Removal
Pry upwards on the cup holder trim ring to remove.
Installation
NOTE:
The cup holder trim ring is indexed and can only be installed one way...

Remove the driver seat.
Refer to: Front Seat (501-10 Seating, Removal and Installation).
Remove the parking brake cable adjustment lock nut.

Loosen the parking brake cable adjustment nut.
