Ford Fiesta: Climate Control System - General Information / Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor Inlet Line - 1.6L EcoBoost (132kW/180PS) – Sigma. Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. Recover the refrigerant.
   Refer to: Air Conditioning (A/C) System Recovery, Evacuation and Charging (412-00 Climate Control System - General Information) .
   

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
   Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).
   

1. NOTICE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.

   Remove the A/C compressor outlet line nut and disconnect the fitting.
   Torque: 159 lb.in (18 Nm)

1. NOTICE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.

   Remove the A/C compressor inlet line nut and disconnect the fitting.
   Torque: 133 lb.in (15 Nm)

1. NOTICE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.

   Remove the A/C compressor inlet line nut, disconnect the fitting and remove the A/C compressor inlet line.
   Torque: 133 lb.in (15 Nm)

Installation

NOTE: Install new O-ring seals.

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
   

1. Lubricate the refrigerant system with the correct amount of clean PAG oil.
