Ford Fiesta: Fuel Tank and Lines - 1.6L EcoBoost (132kW/180PS) – Sigma / Fuel Tank Filler Pipe. Removal and Installation

Removal
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation steps.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).

Disconnect the battery ground cable.
Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).

Remove the fuel tank filler pipe bezel.
-
Remove the rear wheel on the left-hand side.
Refer to: Wheel and Tire (204-04A Wheels and Tires, Removal and Installation).

Remove the retainers, pushpins and position aside the splash shield.
-
Remove the retainers, clips and the fuel vapor tube assembly.
Torque:
93 lb.in (10.5 Nm)

Remove the retainer and the fresh air hose.
-
NOTE:
Some residual fuel may remain in the fuel tank
filler pipe. Carefully drain any residual fuel into a suitable
container.
-
Clamp off fuel filler pipe hose, release the clamp and position aside the filler pipe hose.
Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp(s)

Release the clamp and position aside the vapor tube.
-
Remove the bolt.
Torque:
93 lb.in (10.5 Nm)
-
Inspect the fuel tank filler pipe bezel and remove the fuel tank filler pipe.
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
