NOTE:
Refer to the appropriate Section 303-01 for the specification.

Measure the piston diameter (at the measuring window) 90
degrees from the piston pin and 10 mm (.394 in) up from the bottom of
the piston at the point indicated.
Inspection
NOTE:
Do not clean the dual mass flywheel with compressed air.
NOTE:
Do not clean the dual mass flywheel with any kind of fluid,
use a dry cloth only or damage to the dual mass flywheel may occur...
Inspection
NOTE:
Do not use a caustic cleaning solution or a wire brush to clean the pistons or damage can occur.
Clean and inspect the (1) ring lands, (2) pin bosses,
(3) skirts and the (4) tops of the pistons...

Negative battery cable
If equipped, remove the battery monitoring sensor.
Refer to: Battery Monitoring Sensor (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, Removal and Installation).
Remove the nut.
Torque:
44 lb.in (5 Nm)
Remove the bolt and the battery negative cable.
Torque:
115 lb.in (13 Nm)

performance of vital components and systems. Failure of these fasteners
may result in major service expense. Use the same or equivalent parts if
