With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).

NOTE:
Lubricate the engine oil filter gasket with clean engine oil prior to installing the oil filter.
Remove and discard the engine oil filter.
Use the General Equipment: Oil Drain Equipment
Use the General Equipment: Strap Wrench
Material: Engine Oil - SAE 5W-20 - Synthetic Blend Motor Oil
/ XO-5W20-Q1SP
(WSS-M2C945-B1)
Torque:
128 lb.in (14.5 Nm)

Loosen the hose clamps and disconnect the oil cooler coolant hoses.
Use the General Equipment: Locking Pliers
-
NOTICE:
If metal or aluminum material is present in the oil
cooler, mechanical concerns exist. Failure to correct these concerns may
cause engine failure.
To diagnose mechanical concerns.
Remove the bolt and the oil cooler.
Refer to: Engine (303-00 Engine System - General Information, Diagnosis and Testing).
Torque:
41 lb.ft (55 Nm)

Inspect the oil cooler.
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
