Ford Fiesta: Instrumentation, Message Center and Warning Chimes / Message Center - Overview. Description and Operation
The message center functions are displayed in the FDIM (6.5 inch
display) or the FCDIM (3.5 inch display) and are controlled through the
FCIM or FDIM . The IPC
provides most network messages over the Infotainment Controller Area
Network (I-CAN) used to display the warning messages and message center
indicators in the message center. The IPC
constantly monitors different vehicle systems and provides the message
center with the network messages required to display all message center
indicators and warnings based upon the inputs received. Some of the
message center indicators are unique while some are icons that appear
the same as the informational or warning indicators used in the IPC .
Refer to the Owner's Literature for a complete listing of all the
indicators displayed in the message center.

Preliminary Inspection
Verify the customer concern by carrying out a road test on a
smooth road. If any vibrations are apparent, Refer to the Symptom
Chart: NVH.
To maximize tire performance, inspect for signs of incorrect
inflation and uneven wear, which may indicate a need for balancing,
rotation or front suspension alignment.
Correct tire pressure and driving techniques have an
important influence on tire life. Heavy cornering, excessively rapid
acceleration and unnecessary sharp braking increase tire wear.
