Inspection

  1. Check the body to the luggage compartment lid dimensions.
    Refer to: Body and Frame (501-26 Body Repairs - Vehicle Specific Information and Tolerance Checks, Description and Operation).

Adjustment

  1. Remove the pin-type retainers and the luggage compartment lid trim panel.
  1. Loosen the bolts enough to permit movement of the luggage compartment lid.
    Loosen: 2 turn(s)
  1. Adjust the luggage compartment lid to specifications.
    Refer to: Body and Frame (501-26 Body Repairs - Vehicle Specific Information and Tolerance Checks, Description and Operation).
  1. Tighten the bolts.
    Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)
  1. Check the luggage compartment lid to body specifications.
    Refer to: Body and Frame (501-26 Body Repairs - Vehicle Specific Information and Tolerance Checks, Description and Operation).
  1. Install the luggage compartment lid trim panel and the pin-type retainers.
