Removal

Remove the front door trim panel.
Refer to: Front Door Trim Panel (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).

Remove the bolts and the speaker.

Disconnect the electrical connector.
Torque:
18 lb.in (2 Nm)
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Remove the front door handle.

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
The RCM continuously monitors the passenger side airbag circuits for the following faults:
Resistance out of range
Unexpected voltage
Short to ground
Faulted passenger side airbag

Removal
Remove LH fender splash shield.
Refer to: Fender Splash Shield (501-02 Front End Body Panels, Removal and Installation).
Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the bolt.
Remove LH headlamp.
Refer to: Headlamp Assembly (417-01 Exterior Lighting, Removal and Installation).
