Special Tool(s) / General Equipment

Removal

All vehicles

1. Release the retainers and remove the bracket.
   

1. Open the glove compartment door and remove the glove compartment.
   

Vehicles with manual transmission

1. Remove the manual transmission shifter boot.
   Refer to: Gearshift Lever Boot (308-06 Manual Transmission External Controls - 5-Speed Manual Transmission – B5/IB5/6-Speed Manual Transmission – B6, Removal and Installation).
   

Vehicles with automatic transmission

1. Remove the automatic transmission selector lever bezel.
   Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

All vehicles

1. 
   Remove the floor console RH side trim panel.
   
   1. Remove the screw.
      
   2. Release the clips.
      

1. 
   Release the clips and remove the instrument panel center finish panel.
   
   • Disconnect the electrical connectors.
     Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

1. Release the clips and remove the floor console upper finish panel.
   

1. Remove the USB cable following the routing shown.
   

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
