Ford Fiesta: Handles, Locks, Latches and Entry Systems / Hood Latch. Removal and Installation
Removal
NOTE:

Remove the bolts and the hood latch from the core support.
Torque:
80 lb.in (9 Nm)

Remove the front hood latch.
-
If equipped.
Disconnect the hood ajar switch electrical connector and position aside the wiring harness.

Detach the hood latch release cable from the hood latch.
-
Remove the front hood latch release cable from the front hood latch and remove the front hood latch.
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Depress the hood latch release handle retaining tab and pull the hood latch release handle.
Disconnect the hood release cable from the hood latch release handle...

With the vehicle in N , position it on a hoist.

Remove the battery tray.

Remove the battery tray.
