Removal

Remove the left headlamp.
Refer to: Headlamps (417-01 Exterior Lighting, Diagnosis and Testing).

Raise and support vehicle.
Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).

Remove the lower washer reservoir bolt.
-
Lower the vehicle.
-
Remove the upper washer reservoir bolt and position the washer reservoir aside.
-
Disconnect the hood latch cable from the hood latch.
-
Release the hood latch release handle retaining tab and remove the hood latch release handle.
-
Position aside the hood latch release cable.
-
Route the hood latch release cable and grommet through the cowl panel.

Remove the hood latch release cable from the inside of the passenger compartment.
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Remove the bolts and the hood latch from the core support...

Adjustment
Position the gearshift in N and apply the P brake.
Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe.

Remove the parking brake cable adjustment lock nut.
Loosen the parking brake cable adjustment nut.
