Ford Fiesta: Engine Cooling - 1.6L EcoBoost (132kW/180PS) – Sigma / Coolant Shutoff Solenoid Valve. Removal and Installation
Removal

Drain the cooling system.
Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding

Procedures).

Remove the engine appearance cover.
-
-
Disconnect the resonator tube.
-
Release the clamp.
-
Detach the grommet.
-
Loosen the clamp and remove the resonator assembly.
-
Loosen the clamp.
-
Position aside the CAC outlet pipe.
-
Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).

If equipped.
Remove the underbody splash shield fasteners and the underbody splash shield.
-
-
Remove the bolt.
Torque:
133 lb.in (15 Nm)
-
Disconnect the electrical connector and the vent tube.
-
Loosen the clamp and remove the CAC inlet pipe.
-
Remove the bolts and position aside the throttle body.
Torque:
71 lb.in (8 Nm)
-
Disconnect the coolant shutoff solenoid valve electrical
connector, detach the retainer and position the wiring harness aside.
-
-
Release the clip.
-
Disconnect the coolant hose.
-
Remove the bolts and the coolant shutoff solenoid valve.
Torque:
89 lb.in (10 Nm)
Installation
-
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
