Removal

  1. Refer to: Clutch Pedal (308-02 Clutch Controls - 5-Speed Manual Transmission – B5/IB5/6-Speed Manual Transmission – B6, Removal and Installation).
  1. Remove the 2 insulators from the clutch pedal assembly.
  1. NOTICE: The 4 tabs on the clutch pedal pin are very brittle and can easily be broke if not compressed evenly when removing the clutch pedal pin. Use care when compressing the 4 tabs or damage to the clutch pedal pin can occur.

    Carefully compress the 4 tabs and remove the clutch pedal pin.
  1. Remove the 2 nuts and bolts and remove the master cylinder from the clutch pedal assembly.
    Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
