Ford Fiesta: Roof Opening Panel / Air Deflector. Removal and Installation

Removal
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

NOTE:
The roof opening panel glass must be in the fully open position.
On both sides.

Depress the spring steel locating tab downward with a flat-bladed screwdriver.
Use the General Equipment: Flat-Bladed Screwdriver

Push the air deflector toward the rear of the vehicle.
-
On both sides.
-
Tilt the air deflector assembly upward.
-
Pull forward and remove air deflector assembly.
Installation

NOTE:
Make sure air deflector locating tabs are firmly locked in place.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Initialize the power roof opening panel.
Refer to: Power Roof Opening Panel Initialization (501-17 Roof Opening Panel, General Procedures).
Adjustment
NOTE:
The roof opening panel must be in the CLOSED position.
Loosen the roof opening panel bolts on both sides.
Measure and adjust the front of the roof opening panel glass to roof clearances as shown...

DTC U2300:55 is set in every new RCM installed until configuration data
is successfully received from the IPC . DO NOT install any new
components for this DTC unless directed to do so in the pinpoint test...
Activation
NOTE:
Do not use a high-pressure power washer to clean the CAC (Charge Air Cooler) or damage to the CAC may occur.
NOTE:
Drain all contaminates such as coolant, fuel and oil prior to cleaning the CAC.
NOTE:
Thoroughly clean the joint clamp areas as well as
the turbocharger connection, engine connection and the CAC connections,
using metal brake parts cl..
