Removal

Remove the A/C compressor.

Remove the A/C clutch disc bolt and the A/C clutch disc.
Use Special Service Tool: 412-134
Holding Tool, Compressor Clutch.
Torque:
115 lb.in (13 Nm)

Remove and discard the A/C pulley snap ring and remove the A/C pulley.

Remove and discard the A/C field coil snap ring and remove the A/C field coil.
Installation
NOTE:
Make sure that the component is installed to the position noted before removal.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Add or remove spacers between the clutch plate hub and
the compressor shaft until the clearance is within specification.

Inspection
NOTE:
Procedure 1 — Ambient Temperature between 21°C (70°F) and 38°C (100°F)
NOTE:
Variable compressors may not stroke up unless the ambient
temperatures are above 21°C (70°F) when conducting the pressure mapping
procedure...
